Regional series.
Starday Records offered a custom pressing service for artists wanting to release their own records. Most releases in this "Package Deal" series appeared with label names selected by the customers. From 1954 to 1958, however, many of the more promising disks were released regionally on the Starday label.
All releases shared a common numerical sequence which began at 500 in 1953 and apparently petered out in the mid-1960's at over 1100. Be careful not to confuse duplicate numbers in Starday's main series (which reached 500 in 1960) with these early regional numbers.
Other releases in the Starday Package Deal series are identified in their own listings.
For details on headquarters location, see the note for the Starday main series.
